![]() I don't want it to waste time re-encoding video that's already h264, and I don't want to have to sort everything in the folder and make two passes. What is the difference between AMD Advanced Framework and FFmpeg Theyre mostly the same thing - in one case OBS calls AMF directly, and in the other OBS calls FFmpeg, which calls AMF. ![]() I can live with the first, I could deal with the last if I had to, but I really need to not have to babysit it through the video process. I saw a post here for Best command line for compressing to x265 And one of the comments said that this script is best: ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -c:v libx265 -crf 25 -preset fast -pixfmt yuv420p10le -c:a libopus -b:a 96k output.mkv. I then send this into FFMpeg with the following command: 'ffmpeg -f image2 -framerate 60 -startnumber 0 -i 03d.png -r 60 -crf 10 output. Before 21.4.1 release, my obs settings contained only x264 or h264/AVC encoder (AMD Advanced Media Framework), now I have AMD AMF H264/AVC (via FFmpeg). It tries to encode every file, regardless of whether it's media or not, it doesn't include subfolders, and it passes through video. ![]() I used this script as a test on a file that was already encoded with h264, and it worked fine:įor %%a in (". I'm stuck on pretty much every step of that. Convert 10/8bit HEVC/H.265 to 8bit AVC/H.264 MKV high profile slow preset. ![]() What I'd like to do is run a batch file that will check all folders and subfolders for media files, load them all up one by one into ffmpeg, and output mp4 files in the same subfolders that are encoded with h264 and aac so that Plex will stream them to Chrome without insisting on transcoding them on the fly. Convert audio stream to AAC and insert subtitles stream from external srt. I have a folder full of assorted video files and formats. ![]()
